Lot's of you have asked "why Wantage"?

Well there is already a host of community events taking place in the local area that are directly related to what CircleUp is all about. There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in various events and activities across the project. but for now, here are some of our favourite events happening in June.

Sustainable Style Fair

Saturday 6 June from 10am - 3pm

Visit The Beacon for a Sustainable Style Fair, held as part of Green Week.

Upstairs, explore a vibrant marketplace of preloved clothing stallholders, delivered in partnership with Preloved Clothes Oxfordshire, offering unique finds and affordable fashion.

Downstairs, Sustainable Wantage and The Makery will host hands‑on clothes Clinic stations for clothing repair, customisation, and upcycling.

Have your favourite trousers developed a hole you cannot ignore? Have you fallen out of love with a T-shirt that once felt like you? Could a small change help you see them differently again?

Visitors will be able to explore simple repairs, thoughtful alterations and hands-on decoration, with guidance from makers and artists. This event will share approachable ways to refresh well-worn pieces and to show how small interventions can make a real difference.

No need to book - just drop in!

This is a free space for everyone, full of inspiration, entertainment, friendly faces, and any advice you might need for making your clothes last longer.
