• Thursday 29 Oct 9:30am-12:30pm - Down to Earth Cooking with Surplus workshop (limited number of spaces available) 

Kate at the Down to earth cafe uses only surplus food to make a changing menu of delicious meals and treats. This is food wasted early on in the supply chain so is not the same as waste food about to expire!

• Tuesday 10 Nov 10am-11:30am – Anaerobic digestor visit (to see where all your food waste goes) 

Ever wanted to see what happens to food waste once it reaches the food bin and is collected? Wasted food that could have been eaten, such as stale bread or a mouldy banana, and non edible waste food, such as egg shells, all has the same end destination. Sign up to learn more, see (and smell) what happens and how it becomes energy to power homes and fertiliser. 

• Tuesday 24 November 7-9pm – Mending Workshop: How to repair holes in jumper  

It's almost time to crack out those jumpers for autumn and winter. Drop into to the Makery to learn new techniques to repair holes in your favourite wolly jumper!
